Another great month has passed and a very special month is going by very fast as 2009 will be finished in a few weeks. We hope that some of you can celebrate the end of the year 2009 with us in an authentic Cuban way.
This Saturday 12th of December is our last day of the 2009 course. We will finish with Afro-Cuban Dance of the Orishas - Yemaya - goddess of the sea and Oggun god of Iron from 6-7.05pm with Live music. We will then get back to our elegant and sophisticated SON with Rafael del Busto and me (Damarys Farres). You are all welcome to have a drink after and enjoy whatever dance party is out there with some style.
On Sunday 13th December from 12.30pm-2.30pm we have our Boot Camp- this time with Son. Please contact DaSalsaroom directly for more information.

The London Lucumi Choir PresentsA special concert in three parts. They will be singing some traditionalAfro- Cuban Songs To the Orisha, including songs to Babalu Aye, and will bepremiering for the first time a work composed especially for them byNigerian COmposer and Baritone Juwon Ogungbe. The piece is a dramatic pieceof music sung in English and Yoruba called "Time and the Tricksters Heart"It tales a Yoruba tale about Echu the Trickster God who tricks the RiverDeities Ochun Yemoja and Oya into fighting over the profits of the sellingof a Goat; Echu reminds them that it is always important to pay respects tothe ancestors before anything else. This piece of music is accompanied byBata and Piano.
