Top class dancer and choreographer, Papson is an endless source of creativity and energy. His style is a mix of traditional African dance
with modern elements. The new generation of African dance grown in urban spaces finds itself today on concert and theatre stages. Famous African artists ask him regularly to create choreographies for their video clips and shows: Tiken Jah Fakoly, Oumou Sangaré, Césaria Evora, Khaled, Shaft, Norma Claire, Aïcha Koni, Tissénifo, Savane Allah, Samba Oussou, Amadou e Mariam and Rokia Troare. As a child, he was called the father of the sound as he was always running and looking for the sounds of the Djembedrum. Papson participated on his first dance contest at the age of 5 years. Later his parents didn’t want him to become a dancer, so he left his family to follow his dream. His journey took him through several African countries and national ballets to Paris. Before he settled down in Paris he became the choreographer of the Ivory Dance company and latter the assistant choreographer of George Momboye (AfriKa Afrika). Since 2003 he works as a freelance choreographer and dancer. In 2009 he created his first Afro contemporary Dance Theatre “ Mon Histoire “.
