----REVIEWS------------------------------------

The shimmering Ethiojazz elements remain... but Dub Colossus mastermind Dubulah applies heavy one-drop pressure to hypnotic effect.

Musicnews.com
Only the masters of the form can make the dubs we have here work: building an entirely new entity around the most basic of samples from the original but still leaving you the echoes of the original piece.
The result, is a stunning new piece of music that stands up in its own right but definitely does not ignore the music that originated it.

Do not allow this release to pass you by... extraordinary Ethiopian essence that gives the tracks on this album a unique edge.

Roberto Fonseca
+ Ayanna UK tour Fri 23 Mar – Sun 1 Apr
This Buena Vista Social Club prodigy and Havana Cultura star has grabbed Cuban music by the horns and drawn it, stylish, sizzling and sultry, into the 21st century. Roberto Fonseca hits the road with a stellar band after the release of his new album, YO, which looks back to his Caribbean roots while striking forwards with blistering grooves, electronic beats and sensuous lyricism. Hailed as "a fabulously gifted pianist, composer and band leader who can transcend musical boundaries through sheer quality" by the Guardian, this is sure to be one of the hottest live shows in 2012.

"It’s a heartbeat for contemporary Afro-Cuban life." Times

Ayanna, the first non-American to win the legendary Amateur Night Live at the Harlem Apollo, opens the show with beguiling vocals that skip and swing over intimate, honey-sweet cello.
