One of our recent highlights was the commission and performance of ‘Orixa’ for a festival in London Bridge. It was a really special opportunity to create a piece over a period of two weeks with such talented dancers, and to showcase the work. Watch a snippet here! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tnnzzgvrBJk

Shelia Attah- one fierce lady with a beautiful energy and character! You can catch her House Classes every Monday at Studio 68, 9-10:30 with Sheila Attah, Kendra Horsburgh & our live dj Mr Kofi Mingo. A space where we encourage you to come as you are and explore the many wonders of your being. If you miss our Monday class not to worry as we have another class on a Wednesday at Pineapple Studios 3-4.
About Sheila: In 2010 Sheila grew a real appetite for House music & at that point was introduced to the dance/energy. Embodying this new pursuit has given Sheila the freedom and courage to openly express herself without being restrained by inhibitions and fears. Sheila now teaches House and uses this beautiful energy to remind people of their individual greatness & capacity.

Until next time...
Well that's all from us for this month! But before we sign off, our dancer Ama Rouge shared this to inspire us all to persevere and never give up on our goals!
Persistance is stronger than failure
From the wisdom of John Wooden
Abraham Lincoln is acknowledged as one of America's greatest presidents
Here is a brief summary of his career:
Failed in business 1831
Defeated for legislature 18.32
Failed in business again 1833
Elected to legislature 1834
Sweetheart died 1835
Had nervous breakdown 1836
Defeated for speaker 1836
Defeated for elector 1840
Defeated for congressional nomination 1843
Elected to Congress 1846
Defeated for Congress 1848
Defeated for Senate 1855
Defeated for Vice President 1856
Defeated for Senate 1859
Elected President of the US 1860
The model Mr Lincoln gave us with hit persistence is one we can remember in the face of our own setbacks. And what is most wondrous of all is that persistence is a quality that we ourselves control.
You and only you can decide whether you will stay the course.
Much love,
Ella, Rosa, Dani and Element Dance
