Relive 70s Afro-centric London, Africa, Caribbean and the US in one P-Funky Friday Nite Party of all Parties in celebration of the display 'Afro Supa Hero' - Explore the supa hero and shero as cultural protectors, griots, mentors and leaders of mythical and alternative lifestyles; archetypes found in exciting and outrageous storylines.
Join us for an immersive experience of a supa hero performance that explores fatherhood; a salon-style panel sharing the passions of comic and action hero and sheroe enthusiasts; create your very own graphic novel alter-ego supa-star; bring your personal photographs, pop annuals, commercial and 'home-made' comics and action toys in their original packaging to our conservation and preservation surgery; come dressed in your finest '70s funk-inspired fashion, take a selfie of you wearing an Afro, dance your way down the 'London Soul Train Line' while chilling out to a P-Funk DJ soundtrack.
