Feedback33 is a Professional Dancers' Mentoring Forum set up by Sheron Wray.
An opportunity to take part in various dance techniques with teachers from around the globe. It is a chance to gain insights into the passions, challenges, and experiences of various artists and teachers.
This week, Feedback33 partners with ADAD to deliver the third of four rep workshops lead by artists performing in The Bloom Festival, a celebration of dance of the African Diaspora presented by ADAD and hosted by Southbank Centre’s Dance and Performance team. Comprising of two days of performance, film, open workshops and talks, The Bloom Festival will showcase a wealth of talent from around the UK and beyond on June 6-7, 2009.Venue:

Mohammed Dordoh leds a rep workshop of his work Movement of our Ancestors, 14th May 2009 7.30-9.15pm

In this session, Mohammed will lead a repertoire class of his piece Movement of our Ancestors, which uses a variety of traditional African dances to explore the importance of the earth for survival.
There will be a 15 minute Q&A session as part of this workshop. Cost £13 annual registration fee and £3 for class thereafter. Non members pay £8.

FEEDBACK33 TEACHER'S BIOGRAPHY
Mohammed is Artistic Director of Semekor Performing Arts. He trained at the Academy of African Music & Arts in Ghana, and has been performing and teaching for approximately 20 years. In 2005, Mohammed toured in the Collective Artistes Theatre Company critically acclaimed production of The Lion and The Jewel by Nobel Literature Laureate Wole Soyinka, performing at the Barbican Pit Theatre, Birmingham Repertory Theatre, West Yorkshire Playhouse, amongst other regional venues. During this production, Mohammed worked with renowned director Chuck Mike, and international choreographer and dance artiste Koffi Koko. Previously, Mohammed was lead dancer in Strictly African Dancing on BBC1. He was also a principle performer and choreographic consultant for the musical Sundance, at the Hackney Empire. Between 1998 and 2005 Mohammed was principle dancer and rehearsal director with Adzido Pan African Dance Ensemble. With Adzido, Mohammed toured the UK, Europe and Africa in productions of Footsteps, Silk, Sankofa, Chesa Chesa, Secrets of Makaleng, Yaa Asentewa, and Spirit of Oking. Mohammed has choreographed for Aklowa Dance Ensemble, Nzinga dance, Adanta, BEN TV and OBE.
