Come on People....
Brrr! It's nippy out there! Let's get the blood circulating again....
Aida Diop and Eva Goudiaby are holding an afternoon of workshops that will have your whole body smiling again!
You may or may not be a fan of belly dancing, but one thing most people agree on is that it is a very liberating, and sensual dance performed largely by women, and largely, taught by women... Well, let's go South of the Sahara and and place those same virtues in the region of Senegal......Where we find, SABAR: A beautifully, dynamic and joyful dance, where the natural movements of the female body are appreciated and accentuated.. whether you dance or not, as a woman, you will find your body 'fall' into this style quite naturally.... in all its splendour.
COME AND SEE!!!
We will also do the more familiar, and much-loved 'djembe' style of dance: Our teachers' knowledge of djembe dances and rhythms is unchallenged; and they generously share fresh movement vocabulary with their students; injecting newblood into the scene. COME AND DANCE WITH THEM !!!! You will not be disappointed!!!
Aida has taught at Danceworks, at Feedback 33, at Afro-Xplosion, at ADAD's Bloom Festival, holds a regular dance class in Ladbroke Grove, London, and recently performed with her students at Camden Rock. And everywhere she goes, she is invited back, and draws more people to her... if you don't know why, come and find out!

Cuba’s biggest, funkiest dance orchestra returns to London for the first time in two years.
Formed in 1969 in Havana, Cuba, this 20-piece band plays an irresistible brand of dance groove they created called ‘songo’ – a solid and invigorating fusion of rich Caribbean rhythms, Afro-Cuban drumming, salsa & rock/pop elements. This new sound is still the rhythm of Havana and one of the most influential Cuban forms since the cha-cha-cha.
Plus more dates for your diary...
Don't miss the next Baila Londres on Saturday 25th February and the Rumbon Cubano on Thursday 8th March. Full details coming soon...
We look forward to seeing you there,
