Hello there,
This is an e-mail just to let you all know that applications for the self-directed strand of Choreodrome at The Place are now open. Choreodrome is a biennial research and development project that offers dance artists the opportunity to research work without the pressure of a performance, to spend time on their own professional development and make connections with the community of artists present in the building. It is an open application process for artists based in the UK and working in the contemporary idiom and it’s all free. If you know choreographers who could benefit from this opportunity please do feel free to pass this information on and encourage them to apply.

Choreodrome offers the following opportunities:

• access to studio space and resources to facilitate self-directed research
• directed research workshops for both choreographers and dancers
• a facilitated sharing platform in a studio context
• talks, discussions, lunches and gatherings –both formal and informal to facilitate exchange and dialogue
Information about the self-directed strand of Choreodrome is now up on our website along with details about how to apply. Please go to http://www.theplace.org.uk/16824/choreodrome/choreodrome-2013.htmlto see more. Deadline for applications is 5pm on Monday 4 March.
