Sneak Peek: Next Issue, Nov/Dec 2013 (#96) PLUS 2 Free CDs
We are currently putting the final touches on the next issue, which will go on sale in just two weeks on October 11. We’ve given the magazine a revamp, so expect new features, a new look, but still the same great music from all around the world.
With 25 years and 20 million records under their belt, the Gipsy Kings remain world music’s most successful act. In the upcoming issue, we talk to the group about family, fame and fortune.
The issue will come with an exclusive 16-track covermount CD, featuring ten tracks from our Top of the World albums and a guest playlist by comedian, actor, musician and culinary champion, Adrian Edmondson.
This issue’s bonus CD features 13 tracks compiled by the Brasil Music Exchange. Highlighting the new and diverse sounds from local Brazilian music scenes, artists featured include Siba, Lanny Gordin and Mawaca.
Other features will include Mali’s Touareg rockers Tamikrest; a tribute to Romanian singer Maria Tănase; the new wave of Latin psychedelia; Turkish singer Çiğdem Aslan; our brand new features: Soapbox, Introducing..., Essential Ten and Spotlight; plus more CD, live and world cinema reviews than you can shake a stick at!
The issue will be on sale in the UK from Friday, October 11.
