After a long pause they got back together in the year 2000 to record a new album with a different formation.

This is a great chance to see Mafua's full set, help a deprived group that engage a whole community from Olinda, now completing 4 years without a workspace its a hard reality to see such wealth in culture as part of this group and its legacy but no commitment from the goverment in order to give a permanent support, so we do what we can to give them a push!
The ticket costs £5 or £8 with Camaleao download of their Cd recorded in Barcelona.

Would be great to count with you in this, if not available or out of town you can donate or get the download on paypal links!

Steppin' Over feat. Tomorrow's Warriors
7.30pm
Band on the Wall, Manchester

Tomorrow’s Warriors and JazzCotech dancers have teamed up with Harrow African Caribbean Association to create a wonderful evening’s entertainment for all the family in celebration of Jamaica's 50th Anniversary of Independence, reviving the sounds and dance styles of the Windrush generation. Expect calypso, ska, jitterbugs, Caribbean swing and more from the 1950s and 60s!

Come celebrate an era when Zoot suits and full skirts were the height of fashion and jive and jitterbug dominated the dance halls. Hear the great swing dance tunes of the time and delight in the irreverent wit of the Calypsonian Grandmaster, Lord Kitchener’s lyrics.

Bring your friends, bring your family, dress up and come show off your best moves!
