The Caribbean is home to a rich array of dance forms and rhythms, which gives it that extraordinary, unique flavour that we love so much. He went on to graduate from The State University of New York and most recently completed a Masters in Choreography at LABAN. A member of the National Dance Theatre Company of Jamaica since 2004, he has played roles as dancer and choreographer, and has lectured in Caribbean Traditional Dance technique and theory at The Edna Manley College of the Visual and Performing Arts. FEEDBACK33 TEACHER'S BIOGRAPHY
Oniel Pryce – a native of Jamaica, graduate of the Edna Manley College of the Visual and Performing Arts School of Dance (2001) with a Bachelor of Fine Arts Diploma in Dance Education from The State University of New York, College of Brockport (2003), Oniel has recently completed a Masters in Choreography at Laban (2008). A member of the National Dance Theatre Company of Jamaica, which he joined in 2001, since 2004 Oniel has played dual roles as a dancer/choreographe r with the company. Mr Pryce has lectured in Caribbean traditional dance technique and theory at the Edna Manley College of the Visual and Performing Arts School of Dance, and has also worked as a freelance choreographer with other dance companies in Jamaica..

A specialist teacher in the area of Caribbean traditional dance technique and theory, Oniel’s mission is to a) impart both technical and theoretical knowledge of dances of the Caribbean to people of all nationalities and ages, b) to foster appreciation of these traditional forms, and c) to help catapult the transition from appreciation to acceptance as part of the international idiom of dance.

Urdang Academy Suspended for 3 Weeks. Back on 15th July with New Format!

The lessons @ Urdang Academy have been suspended from this week and will be re-starting on the 15th July. We will re-start with a new format as follows: The class will last for an hour and a half starting at 7pm and finishing at 8.30pm.

Everyone will have the opportunity to practise from 8.30pm till 9pm. There will be four levels with 4 different teachers!!

The price will be only £8 In the mean time we'd like to invite you to join us @ The Cuban (Just 10 mins away) to continue with your weekly class.
